Thanks for your e-mail and support. First, regardless of what I tell you here, you should seek the medical advice of a doctor prior to consuming Voyant or any other alcoholic beverage.

Now, back to Voyant. Voyant contains Oak-Aged Rum and Vodka and the only allergens listed are Milk/Dairy. No gluten is listed on our allergen warning and the reason, I believe, that this is so is because to make Vodka, they distill the alcohol to above 190 Proof (95%) and I believe that by distilling this pure, you get rid of all the impurities and proteins and it is the proteins which give people the allergen issues. I believe that even if the Vodka is made from wheat, that due to the distillation process, it would be considered gluten free. I can not be 100% sure of this; however, please ask your doctor to verify this and ask him or her their opinion in regard to you consuming Voyant.

Please refer to this link where it mentions that distilled liquors (vodka, rum, etc.,.) are typically gluten free as the distillation process removes the gluten’s (proteins)

You are not the first person who has asked this question and I believe that Voyant should be safe for you to consume if you have Gluten issues; however, please do not consume it until you have confirmed my comments with a medical doctor.

Thanks again for your support!
